Most people have pets in their home and usually consider them to be family. Because the pet is considered to be a member of the family, it generally lives inside which exposes your carpets to dirt, mud, fur, and whatever else the pet finds to get into.
Dirt and mud may be one thing, cleaning up feces and urine can be a completely different story. Whether or not the stains will come out can go either way. However, there are plenty of options when it comes to removing stains and restoring your carpet.
One way of removing your pets’ stains like mud is to use a paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible. Blot the stain with a solution made of warm water and a little detergent
Try using household ammonia as a bleaching agent. Then mix it with warm water to clean stains like urine.
Vinegar is another good solution to use if detergent is not available. Always use clean water to rinse when you are done and try to clean the stain as soon as possible. If you move quickly to clean the stain, you are more likely to remove it.
Another tough stain to remove are feces stains. There are products to help clean these stains but try to pick up as much of the feces as you can as soon as you can.
A bleaching agent solution made of water and ammonia can help work the stain if it is left to soak for a few minutes.
Use a dry paper towel to help remove as much of the moisture as possible. If the stain is still visible, try bleaching it again. Or you can also sprinkle talcum powder on the stain to deodorize it.
