Description: The Yorktese love to run around in the yard and sit in your lap while you watch t.v. or a movie. This toy breed is becoming one of the most popular hybrid breeds in all of America. They love to sleep at night with you in bed and will also take naps with you during the day. They are very loyal and love all the attention your willing to give them.
The Yorktese hybrid dog breed is known for having a sweet personality. For the most part they get along well with other dogs and love to play with kids.
The height and weight of the Yorktese will depend almost exclusively on the genetic make-up of their parents. As a general rule the Yorktese will be between 3 and 8 lbs full grown.
The Yorktese should be taken to the vet at least twice each year and it is very important that the puppy or dog is up to date on all vaccinations, dewormings and heart worm preventatives. Health problems associated with the Yorktese will depend on the genetic make up of both parents. As a general rule the Yorktese are a healthy breed.
The Yorktese comes in a variety of colors, including Black and Tan, Black and Gold, Tri Color, Gold, White and Gold and White. Of course they can come in more colors than are listed in this article.
Exercise Required: Majority of required exercise can be obtained in an apartment or house setting but they love to play outside and go for walks.

Litter Size: 2-4
Grooming: Similar to the Yorkie and Maltese. Coat can be long and flowing or you can give them a puppy cut or other hair cut.
